The
next stage of development in the immediate downstream
side of Stage-III power station is the Stage-IV power
station which was commissioned in 1992. This power
station has an installation of 2 x30 MW and a firm power
of 14.7 MW of its own. The machines installed in
this power house are from Bharat Heavy Electrical
Limited, India.
After
the commissioning of the Stage-IV Project, the total
capacity in the 5 power stations of the Umiam-Umtru
system was raised to 185.2 MW with a total available
firm power of 51.7 MW.
